Designed for students with no prior Linux knowledge, this course provides students with a comprehensive introduction to the full range of Linux user services and utilities. Topics include:


1. Using K Desktop Environment (KDE) applications

2. Understanding Linux EXT3 File System Structure

3. Employing Linux pipes and filters

4. Using vi Editor

5. Using files, directories and devices

6. Linux Shell Features and Commands

7. Sending & receiving electronic mail

8. Common Linux Utilities

9. Network Related Utilities

10. X Windows


Course Pre-Requisite: None (Students are assumed to have basic computer knowledge)
